Notice to all FCO members:
Call for Nominations Board of Directors
The Funeral Co-operative of Ottawa (FCO) is seeking nominations for candidates
to fill vacant positions on the Board of Directors. Elections for the Board will take
place during the 15th Annual General Meeting on Thursday, June 4, 2026.
This year there are two vacant positions. All members who are ready and willing to
put time and effort into supporting our co-op's growth and development are
invited to put their names forward. Volunteers with experience in finance,
marketing, or membership development would be particularly welcome.
Those seeking to put forward their interest for a board position are invited to
submit a brief biographical note to the FCO office (e-mail: info@fco-cfo.coop) by
Monday, May 4, 2026.
Nominations received after this date will not be accepted.
In the subject line, please write “Attention: THE NOMINATING COMMITTEE.”
Please note: To be a director, a person must be 18 years of age or older and a
member of the Funeral Co-operative of Ottawa. A member may nominate
themselves or any other member to stand for election. Anyone who is an
undischarged bankrupt or mentally incompetent person cannot be a director of
FCO. Directors must be elected at a members’ meeting.
A formal notice announcing the AGM will be sent to all members not less than ten
days before the meeting, as required by our by-laws.
