In memory of

Laurent Lepage

1952 - 2026

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Laurent Lepage at the age of 73. He passed away peacefully at the Ottawa General Hospital on May 19, 2026, with his immediate family by his side. He leaves to mourn his beloved wife of over 50 years, Lynn Lepage (née Maisonneuve), his daughter Nathalie (Jean-Yves Hamel), and his half-sister Ghislaine Lalonde (Gino Bergeron). He was the son of Yvette Fontaine (Roland) and adoptive mother Ella Chartrand (Émile), adoptive brother of Mariette Couture (Noël) and Carole Chartrand. He also leaves behind his mother-in-law Colette Maisonneuve (née Brazeau), many sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews, cousins, and dear friends who will cherish his memory.

Laurent's funeral will be held on Saturday, June 20th, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Paroisse Sainte-Marie d'Orléans, 4831 Innes Rd, Ottawa, ON, K4A 4B3. The family will receive condolences beginning at 10:00 a.m. The service will be bilingual.

The family wishes to express its deep and sincere gratitude to the hospital staff of the Hematology and Thrombosis Clinic for the care, kindness, and empathy they showed Laurent throughout his treatments. Donations in his memory may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada (LLSC).

Those who knew him will remember a kind, interesting, passionate, devoted, caring, and above all, charitable man. His immense generosity of time and his love for his family, friends, and all those who called upon him for help, his zest for life, and his thirst for travel will leave a lasting mark on the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him and share these memorable experiences with him. The sweet memory of the music he loved and all those beautiful moments will continue to resonate deeply within us.

Furthermore, his love of clocks reminds us of the time he gave us throughout his battle with leukemia. He faced this difficult and unavoidable challenge without hesitation, with resilience, determination, boundless strength, courage, and innate optimism. His message of eternal love reminds us that true wealth is time.
