Kathryn A. Drouin (nee Licari)
1947-2026
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Kathryn Drouin (nee Licari) on March 16, 2026 at the age of 78. Predeceased by her parents, Theresa Guzzo and Ben Licari, Kathryn was the devoted wife of Serge and loving mother to Stéphanie (Tristan Andrew) and Mark (Jenna Smiley) and most adoring Nana to Kennedy and Bentley.
Kathryn will be remembered for her devotion to her family and her fulfilling career as a Nurse in the fields of Cardiology and Rheumatology. Her warm smile made friends and family welcomed in her Italian kitchen, especially for Sunday dinners.
The family would like to express their deep appreciation for the attention and care received during her long illness from the Home Dialysis team at the Riverside Hospital.
The family will receive condolences on Tuesday, April 14, 2026 at 9:15 to 10 a.m. followed by a mass and a celebration of Kathryn’s life at Saint Anthony of Padua Church located at 427 Booth Street in Ottawa, K1R 7K8.
Donations in Kathryn’s memory can be made to The Ottawa Mission or the Kidney Foundation.

She was a wonderful, caring classmate and a gracious hostess who invited us all to her home for a get together following every reunion dinner, no matter the size of the crowd or how late we stayed, chatting and reminiscing. Please accept my condolences on Kathy"s passing. She was such an asset to our class at OCH. That smile of hers and her positive energy was inspiring. Kathy & Serge opened up their home to us and helped us enjoy the reunion weekends even more. God bless.
