With profound sadness, the family of Zachary Girard announces his sudden passing on Wednesday August 5, 2026. Zachary was a kind hearted, friendly soul whose warmth touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. He carried a gentle presence, a love of music, and an unwavering devotion to the people he cherished. Bringing joy to his family was one of his greatest pleasures, and he gave that joy freely, with sincerity and generosity.
Zachary will be forever loved and remembered by his father Raymond Girard, his mother Suzanne Paquette, his brother Xavier (Nancy Louisseize), his sister Zoé (Jeremy Secchi) and his nephews Ethan and Jake.
He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, and cousins, all of whom held a special place in his heart. Their memories of Zachary — his kindness, his humour, and the way he made people feel seen and appreciated — will remain a lasting source of comfort.
A celebration of Zachary’s life will be held at Pineview Golf Course on August 29th, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m, with words to be said at 2:30 p.m. All who knew him are welcome to gather, share stories, and honour the gentle light he brought into their lives.
The family kindly requests no flowers. For those who wish to give something in Zachary’s memory, a donation to any charity of your choice would be a meaningful way to honour his spirit and the kindness he carried with him.

I grew up in same neighbourhood as Zach and another friend gone too soon (RIP George). Spent many days, evenings and weekends skateboarding with Zach, George and some of the Garneau crew for many years. Nothing but great memories. Anytime I saw Zach over the years, he was the same guy… always remembering everything from our past, always a positive vibe and a great conversation. So very sorry to his family and friends… a great guy gone too soon. Thoughts and prayers.

Zack and myself were close for the last 2 to 3 years. We talked about everything and anything, we laughed and sometimes we'd even argue for little things that always ended up with him either having the correct answer or winning the argument. He was a smart man, bad a good heart and loved humanity. I lost a real friend and I wish that he was still around. You are missed, you will be missed, and you will never be forgotten. Rest in peace brother. Cheers.

My deepest sympathies to Zack’s family. I met Zack years ago when he was a regular where I worked, and I’ll always remember his beautiful, bright spirit and that smile on his face. He was kind, loving, full of life.
