Owner Peter Pavia Interiors and Acrylux Paints
It is with sadness we announce Peter's passing on March 22, 2026 surrounded by family. Peter is survived by his spouse Carol Prudhomme. He also leaves to mourn, his only son Nick Pavia, Carol's children, Andrew, Mikey and Steven (Melissa). He will be greatly missed by his grandchildren, Emmett, Noah, Zoey and Oaklynn, sisters Rosemary Poggione (John), Cathy Bourguignon (Paul), his twin brother Joseph, many nieces, nephews and great nieces, great nephews as well as his former wife Gael Copeland. Peter was predeceased by his parents Ross and Kay Pavia.
Peter established himself in the Ottawa area as an expert in all things "paint"! According to Peter, there was nothing you couldn't paint in or around your home. He became a reliable paint resource for his many loyal customers. Peter also had many hobbies such as an immense love of softball, boating, vintage cars, Italian cooking and all things about audio systems. He especially loved old jazz recordings. He relished his many southern vacations to warm climates especially to the beaches of Fort Lauderdale to visit family.
Peter was most notably known for his quick sense of humour, sharp wit and many vocal impersonations. He was a scorcher personified! He commanded a room with jokes and laughter! To know Peter was to know he always had a generous spirit ( except of course while playing family board games when he would find any way to quietly cheat the game to win).
The family would like to thank the staff of Villa Marconi and the 8th floor staff of the Civic Hospital.
A private family service and celebration of Peter’s life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Peter's name to Parkinson's Canada, https://www.parkinson.ca/ or the Dementia Society Canada, https://dementiahelp.ca/
