Thérèse Gibeault, born Lamoureux, passed away peacefully on November 29, 2025. She died of old age at 98 while living in a seniors' residence in Ottawa. The attached photo will remind you of Thérèse when she still joined us in family get togethers.
Born in St-Isidore de Prescott on June 13 1927, to parents Euphrasie Leduc and Émilien Lamoureux, she is the last of the twelve Lamoureux brothers and sisters. It’s a chapter of that generation that is closing.
Thérèse spent most of her life in Crysler on the farm with her beloved husband Armand Gibeault (deceased in 2016) and their four children: Marcel (Claudette), Diane (Don ), Pierre (Céline) and Sylvain.
She was the grandmother of six grandchildren: Édith, Mathieu, Catherine, Maryse, Pascal, and Éric, and great-grandmother of ten. Thérèse leaves her sisters in law Oriande Gibeault, Thérèse Gibeault (née Martin), Marina Lamoureux, and brother in law Gilbert Brunet, as well as many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 23rd, 2026, at 11:30am, in Crysler, at the Community Centre, 16 Third Street.
A memorial mass will be celebrated on Saturday June 13th at 5pm at Ste Marie Church at 4831 Innes Rd, Orléans.
