Bruder, Theodore (Ted)
1934 - 2021
Avec une grande tristesse, sa famille souhaite annoncer que Ted est décédé paisiblement au Centre Elizabeth Bruyere à Ottawa, le mercredi 8 septembre, entouré de sa famille. Ted est décédé à 87 ans après une bataille contre le cancer.
Ted a été précédé dans la mort par son épouse bien-aimée Katherine (Kay).
Père affectueux de Terry (Laurie) et Sharman (Rocke Robertson).
Cher frère de Lawrence (Doris) de Olds AB, et Leanne O'Reilly (Richard) de Havre MT, et prédécédé par ses sœurs Monica (James) et Marlene (Art). Il manquera à ses nombreux neveux, nièces et amis de l'Alberta, de la Colombie-Britannique, du Québec et des États-Unis.
Grand-père fier et dévoué de Tyler (Lexi), Callum et Hailey et arrière-grand-père d'Oliver.
Ted a servi son pays pendant plusieurs décennies au sein des Forces canadiennes, puis comme fonctionnaire au ministère de la Défense nationale. Ses séjours outre-mer en Égypte et en Allemagne lui ont donné une soif de voyages qui s'est poursuivie tout au long de sa retraite.
Apiculteur passionné, il a entretenu la famille et les amis de MacLaren's Landing et de Manzanillo avec du miel.
Amateur de foires agricoles et de chevaux lourds, il avait un amour de l'agriculture et n'a jamais oublié ses racines occidentales. Merci à la famille du chalet de Ted à MacLaren's Landing pour toute l'aide apportée au fil des ans.
Merci aux médecins, aux infirmières et aux travailleurs sociaux de la résidence pour personnes âgées Chartwell New Edinburgh Square et de l'hospice palliatif Elizabeth Bruyere pour leurs merveilleux soins et le confort qu'ils lui ont apporté.
Un service commémoratif/célébration de la vie sera annoncé au cours de la nouvelle année 2022.
Au lieu de fleurs, des dons seraient appréciés pour le Centre Elizabeth Bruyere et la Rideau Valley Conservation Foundation - Programme de plantation d'arbres commémoratifs.
