On Saturday, May 19th, 2018, our beloved Mireille Lafontaine passed away peacefully with her family and loved ones by her side. She is survived by her daughter, Mélanie Simard; her mother, Janine Ranger (wife of the late André Lafontaine); her sister, Lucie (wife of Hassen Attaya and mother of Adam); as well as her life partner, Michel Saumure, father of Isabelle and Natasha. She will also be missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, colleagues and her two cats Poupoune and Pinote.
The funeral service will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 26th, 2018 at Notre Dame de Lourdes Church located at 435 Montréal Road in Ottawa, followed by her burial at Notre Dame Cemetery.

Le samedi 19 mai 2018, notre bien-aimée Mireille Lafontaine s’est éteinte sereinement auprès de sa famille et de ses proches. Elle laisse derrière elle sa fille Mélanie Simard, sa mère Janine Ranger (de feu André Lafontaine), sa sœur Lucie (Hassen Attaya), son neveu Adam Attaya et son grand amour Michel Saumure, le père d’Isabelle et Natasha. Elle sera aussi manquée par plusieurs oncles, tantes, cousins, cousines, amis, collègues ainsi que ses deux chats Poupoune et Pinote.
Le service funéraire aura lieu le samedi 26 mai 2018, à 9h30 à la Paroisse Notre-Dame de Lourdes au 435 chemin Montréal à Ottawa, suivi de l’enterrement au cimetière Notre-Dame.
