James Victor Ross, 1945-2017
Peacefully at home after a struggle with ALS. Deeply mourned and lovingly remembered by his wife Anne Quick, his beloved daughters Polly Ross (Jenn Tyrrell), Genevieve Johnston (Matthew and their son Jacob), and Christina Ross; and his sister Nancy Tatarka (Louis) and their sons. Jim loved music, acting, travel, and his family and friends. He never lost his love of canoeing and of wild places.
A memorial service will be held at St. Stephen's, Ottawa West, 930 Watson St., Ottawa, Ontario, on Saturday, June 17th, at 2:30 p.m. The family will be receiving friends on Friday, June 16th, from 2:00-4:00 p.m., at St. Stephen's. The family offers heartfelt thanks to the ALS Clinic of the Ottawa General Hospital and the ALS Society of Canada for their unflagging help and support.
