Gabriel Regis passed away peacefully in the early morning at the Civic Hospital in Ottawa on December 12, 2023. He was laid to rest surrounded by family.
He was predeceased by his wife of 40 years, Sylvia Regis (née Martelly). He is survived by their three children (Hugh, Lesley, Lionel), several grandchildren, along with brothers, sisters, cousins, and children across the globe.
After immigrating to Ottawa in the 1970s, he worked several years in construction, then spent 19 years with OC Transpo as a driver before retiring.
In accordance with his wishes, there will be no formal service, flowers, or memorial donations.
