Sympathy Messages
My heart goes out to you. I was thrilled when you got in touch a few years back and announced you were paying us a visit in New Zeeland. That was so much fun; I just wished we were in better shape to spend more time with you when you were here. But we loved having you for the small time that you were. Thank you so much for your friendship, built from being two odd-balls in that computer Analyst training in California. Remember “Touch, turn and talk”? Wow! But those 10 weeks certainly changed my life! I loved, and will always treasure, the time spent with you and Carole in Burritts Rapids. Thank you for that wonderful time. And then you and a very pregnant Carole were able to attend our wedding in the Santa Cruz Mountains! We have the video taken by Ann’s brother-in-law Rick, and you and Carole pop up in it all the time. Sorry, I should have shown you that video when you were here! So many memories, a lot of them goofy, all of them great treasures. I love you Frank! Ann and I wish you all the very best . Goodbye my old friend.

Very early in my Information Technology career, both Frank and I worked for Computing Devices of Canada (now a division of General Dynamics) in Bells Corners (west end of Ottawa). As I was new to the profession, I often turned to Frank for help solving some of the more challenging problems. Always found Frank helpful and patient. Valued qualities when you're a 'newbie'.
A few years later, our career paths diverged and we lost touch. However, about 10 years ago I reconnected with Frank on Linkedin and had several rewarding exchanges with him in his semi-retirement. Saddened to see his obit. A good man was lost.
My condolences on his passing.

Although it's been a number of years since I'd last seen Frank I will never forget the impact he has had on my life. We worked together installing CyberGuard firewalls back when cybersecurity was in it's infancy. I was a young kid in this industry and Frank was already a seasoned expert. He was quite the character, having a good laugh seemed to be the most important thing to him. He taught me a lot about the industry and I've spent my career building on those first lessons. Rest in peace Frank.
