C'est avec une profonde tristesse que nous annonçons le décès de notre épouse, mère et amie bien-aimée, Elske Delaney (née Kruse), le 1er novembre 2024, à l'âge de 79 ans. Elske était l'épouse chérie de Ronald Delaney et laisse dans le deuil ses trois enfants : Neal (Andrea), Karen et Scott (Samantha). Elle laisse également dans le deuil ses petits-enfants : Aaron et Nicholas, Aimee et Patrick, Christian, Hayden, Annabelle et Peyton. Elske laisse également ses sœurs, Roswitha Scuris-Brown et Kate Volkmann, et son frère, Herbert Kruse, l'a précédée dans la tombe.
Née à Bad Oldesloe, en Allemagne, de feu Erika Kruse (née Behnert) et Herbert Kruse, Elske est arrivée au Canada à l'âge de 10 ans et a vécu à Montréal avant de déménager à Ottawa avec sa famille en 1976. Peu après, Elske s'est lancée dans une carrière épanouissante de 40 ans chez Sears Canada, où elle a noué des amitiés pour la vie. Elle trouvait une grande joie à passer du temps avec sa famille et ses petits-enfants. Avec un cœur ouvert et un esprit généreux, Elske est devenue une figure maternelle pour tous ceux qui ont croisé son chemin, chérissant profondément ses proches.

My Deepest Condolences to All the Delaney Family. I first met Elske over 40 yrs ago when I first started at Sears. She gave me a Beautiful Baby Shower for my Firstborn, I will never forget her kindness and generous heart.
She will be missed at our Sears Luncheon but never forgotten.
