Brian Jones
1949-2019
Suddenly at the Carleton Hospital Queensway on September 12, 2019 at the age of 70. Predeceased by his mother Viola Marcotte and father Lionel Jones, Brian will be greatly missed by his cousin Jones, Sandy (Jeff), Alan (Bonnie), Debbie ( Bob), Kirk (Joanne) and their families, Bob Ferris and Peter Low. Brian lived most of his life in old Aylmer. He was an avid reader, researcher, wordsmith, and storyteller. An all-around fellow who could make anyone laugh through his stories. Brian graduated from Carleton University with a Master's Degree in Sociology. He worked for many years at the National Research Council, then owned his own business and finished his career at DeSerres. He traveled the world and was most knowledgeable.He was always kind, gentle, down to earth with a big smile, quick wit and humorous stories. We will miss you so much Brian. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2019 at 1:00 pm at Christ Church Aylmer, followed by a reception at 101 Symmes Street, Aylmer, Quebec. In place of flowers, donations to Christ Aylmer Church or a charity of your choice would be appreciated. In gratitude, The Jones Family.
